I think your theory makes more sense to me. Its only logical that if you have increase your sales by 100% then you have double you sales while a 200% increase mean that you have triple your sales. Im with you on this one. I might be wrong though.
It seems that you are from the other side of advertising (not creative), im an Art Director and i can tell you, we do create ads with the thought of winning awards, but you have to also remember that we do have to follow an strategy, its not like we create ads just to compete or impress other ad people. BTW, this ads are pretty well thought and executed, in my opinion. =)

I think any system work fine when it come to score reviews. The problem is the people that write the reviews are bias and this will always be a common problem, because reviews are just personal opinions.
The best way to review a game is to play it and judge it yourself. What is an average game for some may be a great game for others.

The game is looking great. The graphics are good, i think the indoor places need some work, but this is just a beta built. Looking forward for this game.

This game is looking better and better.
My take on this is that is a great deal. Taking into consideration that the target costumer is the ones buying the Wii. Anyone denying this is a great deal is blind by fanboyism. Now will it sell? That remains to be seen, MS need to advertise the sh@t out of this price cut and point the advantages of the 360 over the Wii.
